A Low Life in High Heels: The Holly Woodlawn Story, by Holly Woodlawn and Jeffrey Copeland, tells all, in the refreshing and inimitable style of Candy's fellow Superstar Miss Woodlawn. Laura Rubin's website sells original prints of beautiful portraits taken by Ms. Rubin of Candy and other Superstars. The Andy Warhol Museum, in Pittsburgh, PA, in addition to holding a large collection of Warhol's art, puts on daily screenings of Warhol's movies, most of which are unavailable elsewhere. It hosts lecture series and maintains Warhol's vast collection of "Time Capsules" filled with souvenirs and ephemera of his life. Rrose is rrose is rrose: Gender Performance in Photography, curated by John Smith, was an exhibition featuring Candy Darling that appeared at the Guggenheim Museum and the Andy Warhol Museum in 1997. A second exhibition, focusing exclusively on Miss Darling, Candy Darling: Always a Lady, appeared at the Focus Gallery in NYC and at the Andy Warhol Museum, and was reviewed in the New York Times. |
